The field is called 광양 공설운동장. or in English, Gwangyang – Gong Seoloon Dongjang.

I researched this on a flier Brian gave me as the map behind that was too small to scan and print. I found it on Naver maps and I’ve posted it here for y’all.

Brian, please confirm if this is correct.

Football Bibs on the way!!

Hey everyone,

I ordered the football bibs with numbers on the front (1 to 18) yesterday. It should arrive Wednesday evening at my apartment. The total cost of this was W53,100. My girlfriend paid for it online, so I’ll arrange to get the money from Dustin to cover this.

It’s an orange bib, with a black lining around the edges. One size fits all. Hope everyone is ok with it. If not, then NO BIB FOR YOU!

Soccer Training Saturday 12noon -2pm

Hi,
We will be having a light training session at Joyre elementary school at 12 noon this Saturday (5 a-side, shooting practice, stretches etc)…Let me know on this site if you are available…Our fundraising ideas have been formulated for the Halloween party….If anyone wants to help out let us know….The rest of you I’d advise not to get too drunk on Sat night as we have a big game early the next day…..Finally, Dan King, Haydar, Jeff etc can u register on this site please???

News is that Brian, P.R.O champ collected W74,000 at the Halloween Party in Juliana’s over the weekend. GREAT WORK!!

Just a shameless plug, but the OFFICIAL Suncheon Halloween Party is on November 3rd, 2007. If you want to do fund raising, think of some ideas (bake sale?) and use the night to raise some much needed $$$.

** SIFC Secretary **

Daragh will continue his role as SECRETARY until further notice. If someone wants to assist him, please do so. Help is needed.

** Daegu Game **

The Daegu game details are being ironed out. Times/Dates will be added to the site soon. Please stay tuned.

When you have time, could you please forward me the list of people that paid the membership fee so I can post it up here. Post the list on the forums/I’ll transfer it on the main page.

Minutes for the meeting

Hey everyone,

Thanks to all that showed up last evening. I know it was only announced on Sunday but it was important to get those issues sorted.

First things first.

* MEMBERSHIP FEE has been decided and set at W50,000. If you haven’t paid yet, PLEASE do so soon. Dustin is collecting the money so please make sure he gets it. It is vital that we get this money ASAP so that I can go ahead and place an order for bibs for our next game.

* We’ve decided that we’ll charge teams to play on our home turf. W30,000/team was set.

* Feasibility of 2 teams – As of now, NO.

* All on-field decisions come down to Aodan. Off-Field decisions, especially anything that requires money, will go through a VOTE.

* Yeosu lad’s transportation – Not an issue. (Thanks guys!)

* Daegu game – Bus Rental was voted / logistics to be figured out.

* VOTE FOR JERSEY COLOURS – I know most of you wanted jerseys, but this is something that can only come AFTER the logo has been sorted. So let’s keep this on hold for now. I’ll put up a poll and we can vote on which jersey looks best for the team.

* Carlos – Mentioned that he’ll find out timings for a gym that we can practice indoors or something. (Not sure I heard that whole bit well)

** YOU PAY / YOU MIGHT PLAY – We decided that you’re not guaranteed a game just because you payed membership.

** Daragh has stepped down from the Secretary role. Any takers? Daniel? I know you have some contacts here and can possibily arrange games. (Just my suggestion)

A couple of you have posted your shirt numbers in the GUESTBOOK instead of the FORUMS. REALLY didn’t see that till now!

Please post the number of your choice on the thread in the FORUMS section I just created. If it’s taken already, too bad!! Choose again or negotiate with the person who has it.

Oh and glad to see people are using this to communicate. It’ll be cool if this could be the medium of communication, it’s quick and easy!

As you probably heard, there’s a meeting this Thursday. We got to discuss a lot of items that evening, and we’ll need your thoughts and opinions.

The big thing for me is the Footy Uniforms. I know we agreed on YELLOW before, but I’ll bring in a few images of different colours/styles. We can do a vote and figure out design and other issues.

For those of you who CAN’T make it, don’t think you’re voice won’t be heard! Please use the FORUMS to post your suggestions. I’ll add the images to this site to obviously make it easier!

Ok guys. I’ve done a bit of research (Jin Shil helped me!) and this is what we came up with.

The kit includes the shirt, shorts and socks for 28,000won. Now, this is the maximum price on the website and it includes all the logos, emblems, sponsor name, number on shirt AND SHORTS. My girfriend will call and find out for sure.

*The cheap kit, without logo options and text/numbers is W15,000*

The picture I’ve linked is that of ROMA F.C, it’s colours are the closest match to the Suncheon city logo.

** Problem – I need to know your sizes in cm. 110cm is XXXL in Korea. It’s long enough to fit me and I’m pretty tall. The size is based on chest size just so you know.

3) Team name/text in front of jersey (Vertical or Horizontal)
